Wow, there is a lot of hype about this server( if that's what it is). Way too many people I talk to have a blog there mostly kids. I have needed to check it out this past week so I will know what I am dealing with in the high school group. It is a bit disturbing that so much info is available to anyone. They even have a search engine to help you track down the "thing" you desire. What bothers me the most is the "Christian" community on "my space" in general is just as degrading as the worldly ones. You cant tell the difference....other than in the survey part the kids claim to be "Christian", but they also have to answer if they are straight or homosexual. I would rather them not say they are affiliated with Jesus at all if their blog is not something He would sign His Name too. The sexualization of the blogs is unavoidable....I don't think they offer too much that is not flesh oriented. The surveys ask awful questions. Even playboy got involved and asked girls to show pictures of themselves thru myspace. Its crazy.

Even though the devil tried to shut down the best parts of the weekend...it was in my opinion a success. Isa 55:11. I had offered my house for my small group...thinking it would be me,Ash and 6-8 others...which would fill the house. It ended up being 15 girls. I was alittle concerned about comfort for the girls, but the house seemed to expand. God is big enough! Not sure how all the showers worked out, but no one ended up smelly. I was not the hard nose I was told to be...and we got where we needed to be early everytime. I really enjoyed all the girls and thier different personallitys. I am blessed to be involved in the highschool ministry. I may not see the fruit I would like to see in the girls walks, but it is a good feeling to be serving regardless of the "outcome". God is the One who will do and see the change over the long haul,and I get blessed with thier friendships in the short term. I think I developed a few more laugh lines over the 3 day period. Thanks to Summer for the invite, and to all the girls who came!
