Family Life

They were the hosts for the marriage retreat on Saturday in Indy. We made a weekend out of it with the Collins's. I have never been to a "conference" more finely done. It was obvious that the best was put into it,everything tied together(except the musical guest, who kept singing about traveling). It was enhanced by being with others who desperately wanted to insure a wonderfully fulfilling marriage that pictures accurately Christ and the church. It was a weekend of laughter and tears, hugs and kisses, praise and worship. Shawn did a great job of getting us a hotel that was extremely nice for a great price. Sauna, pool, jacuzzi, restaurants, quiet room. The end of the conference they had a special song and a small dance and renewing of wedding vows that were better than most I have ever heard all based on scripture not just fluff. Those few minutes with my husband meant more to me than my entire wedding and will be remembered as my "real" wedding and the vows made my "true" vows to the man God has given special to me. A big thank you goes out to My God, Our wonderful friends, and to a great church who made it available!

Dog stuff

Just finished installing two dog doors. Why two? To try and help any excessive drafts during the winter. So we decided to put one from the outside into the garage through an exterior wall. The other one when through the garage door to the house. Man, a table saw is so much easier when what your cutting is flat like a table(hence the name). I tried a jigsaw but it broke trying to cut though a 1 1/2 inch solid wood door. Many delays but I would not be deterred. The best part was when Todd came home for lunch(very impressed) and spent some time teaching Glory how to use her new freedom has caught on pretty quick. She is housebroken as long as she can get outside, but leaving the door open all winter just wouldn't work for me.
