Wednesday lunch
I picked Todd up for lunch and he informed me we were going to go to Henderson to meet the Becks for lunch. Cool. So anyway we went to Tumbleweed cause the kids eat free that day. We were stuffed and went home with enough for supper, all for 12.50$ then we got gas for 1.81$ .Glynn said there is a gas station he found there for 1.79. Anyway on the way back Isaac was looking at the cover of the "Return of the King" and said out of the blue,"I'm glad Aragorn and Legolas are the micdaddys". He meant mac-daddys.

Everything was great. Went to church, and his class sang for him. Then went to Sams club to get final supplies. He chose an apple pie instead of cake with cookies. Mom brought homemade ice cream. Good call on the apple pie. He got more Thomas stuff and two race tracks for his hot wheels, some legos and two new Big Idea movies. I forgot to give him our present, oops. He didn't notice, maybe we should take it back...
Went to see ShreckII. The story line was very good ..some adult humor, about the same as the first one. I didn't think I was going to like the cat,but he was a good addition. Over all I'd give it an B. Not a B+ because of a few in"sin"uations. There were so many parodies that I could not keep up. jen at 5/23/2004 09:57:00 PM 0 comments Emily
We were talking about the desert during school and she shared her observation: "Hell is hot like the desert...but no cactus's or horses, just satan." And one of Isaac's questions was (I can?) talking about what he can do now that he is older, his answer was " I can eat the whole christmas mouse". I dont think I will be able to help him.

It started off kind of stressful. I had wrote down directions but didn't know really what they ment. Somehow I ended up driving, and I took 41 N because that's how we usually end up getting to Santa Claus Indiana. Then Todd started to read the directions...He had to call the guy to get new directions, because I didn't know 62 turned into 66 after newburgh. (stupid hwy #'s). Of course it's my fault and I am mad at all the other drivers on hwy41,so it made for a pleasant first half hour. Once we got onto 64 and all the morons on 41 were far behind us, it got much better. We definitely took the back way,but made it there with plenty of time to spare. We hung out with the mom and pups and she was fabulous! All three of the kids were in her den with 11 pups, it was cramped, but she never made a negative signal toward any of us. The pups woke up and we hugged all of them several times each, then they got hungry and started to nurse. We still had not decided so the kids keep pulling the puppy's off and putting them back on. Still Maggie( mom) was as sweet as could be. Only once did she go outside her kennel, but then she came back in not long after. We have some pictures of the puppy(girl) Maggie(mom) and Sherman(dad). They are both small in stature which is going to be good for us. But were very beautiful and opposite sides of the color chart. Maggie is very light and Sherman is very dark.
We went to eat at a Mexican restaurant that was part of train in Rockport . Then went to Central Library in Evansville. Mom(Betty) went with us and it was a great day. jen at 5/13/2004 07:46:00 AM 0 comments Mothers day
Got through it alright. Had fun out at mom and dads, talked to the Burtons about Atkins...it is similar to the Candida diet. It works. I don't really need it for weight loss but Laura seems to think it could help us with our blood sugar levels, and possibly steering us clear of diabetes later in life. So IF my husband would take the plunge it, would sure make things easier on me to be successful. We could not eat out as much which would be a VERY good thing for our budget. But eating healthy is more expensive. And Todd just bought some kind of miracle juice made with mangosteen. 30$ a bottle. I hope it made a 30$ difference in our health. Best part of Mothers Day this year was definitely my gift. Todd gave me his blessing to get a golden retriever pup. So After 12 hours of research I found a good breeder with a 30 mt health guarantee and only an hour away. We are going up there on Wednesday to pick out our news member of the Bacon family and to put a deposit down. We will go get our baby June 5th. Your formally invited to visit That Saturday after we get home. :)

Friday Todd took Isaac to the mec, (why am I always right about frustrating things) the Doc was no help and sent Isaac home with you guessed it...a pink antibiotic. Aaggghhhh. Just like the time I went in there with salmonella(Doc,shouldn't you test my stool,I've had painful cramps and diarrhea for a week?...) does he?...NO! He sends me home with imodium and cough syrup with codine. They are whack. "Test for something?, what's wrong with you? can't you see I am wearing a long white coat, that means I know what to do,even if I don't know what's wrong with you."
Saturday took Jacob to soccer...He scored 5 goals out of the 8 the team made, and he assisted with one of those. He was pretty excited, but just like mean little kids that go to public school, they made fun of him and hurt his feelings, one boy even called him selfish. And honesty he wasn't hejust knows how to play. He will run along side the pack thats pushing and fighting over the ball and waits till someone accident's kicks the ball to hard and then takes off toward the goal. No one else will run up in front of him to get a pass. This fall will be harder for him he will move up to U8. So then he will be the youngest and probably the smallest. Right now he is about the same size as the rest of the 5-6 years olds. U8 is 7-8 yrs. Then took Mom and Dad to eat at Triple Dragon then went to see Cheaper By The Dozen at South. Afterward came home and played dominoes. Fun day! Sunday I stayed home with Isaac from church(don't think the parents would like to see him there scratching and then touching their china doll). We watch crocodile hunter. Then cleaned up the house. Jami came home with Todd and we went to eat at Nicks. Then Sunday night Jami and Dana came over and we snacked and played dominoes. Good times! jen at 5/03/2004 09:22:00 AM 0 comments
